02(e). APTIS - Rareties and Mistakes.
A prototype APTIS ticket. Unlike the production tickets the ticket colour is red and the curved corners are absent. |
This isn't an unusual ticket as such, but I included it because of the number of times it has apparently been punched. |
I've included this one as it is an example of the sort of hand stamping that is often applied to time restricted tickets. (Image courtesy of Clive Jones). |
A BR Group ticket for 5 adults and 22 children. (Image sent in by Eve - many thanks). |
Return half of a ticket to Bicester Village. This is not a third station in Bicester but the name of a retail development for which through tickets are available. |
A ticket from an APTIS 2000 machine. This was a proposed APTIS replacement which saw some trial use but never went into squadron service. Latterly known as Advantix ProStation, it was similar in appearance to an APTIS machine but featured a flat-screen monitor display. (Image courtesy of Matt Davis). |
